streaming video4linux4 from a web cam

I m using a webcam logitech pro 9000. I m trying to stream its video (in
video4linux4) usign ffmeg and ffserver to watch teh video on a web page,
just using the url.

It works perfectly using mjpeg but the video is really slow. It also
worked using flv format.

first, I run ffserver with the configuration below, and then, I run teh

ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -s 176x144 -r 2000 -i /dev/video1 -f avi

when I try to wacth it on a firefox, it doesnt work :( ... I get  a
black screen.
if I try to watch it with mplayer i get the following:

mcm@McM:/etc$ mplayer http://localhost:8090/saibi.avi
