create a dummy video device and send there the ffmpeg output

Pierpaolo Gullˆa
Hi guys ,
I've one question:
Do you know how I can create a dummy video device like snd_dummy for
audio , for send there the output of ffmpeg and later take this with
ffmpeg2theora?
For help you to undestand my strange question you can see splitcam for
windows how it works.
It create a dummy video device that can be used for input or output from
other programs

Thanks a lot

BR

Pierpaolo

p.s. Merry Christmas! ;-)

Instead of a dummy device, just use pipes or named pipes.
Look for named pipe in FFmpeg's FAQ for an example.
The example uses Unix syntax for named pipes, your will need to google
around to find the Windows syntax.
