audio distortion after mp3 to flv conversion

Muhammad Irfan
Hi,

From last one week i am trying to encode mp3 audio file to flv file, flv
file is generated successfully but with strange sounds, means sound is
completely distorted, can any one help me how i fix this issue.

Detail:

mp3 information bitrate: 24kb/s, 8000 Hz, Stereo, audio bitrate: 24kb/s

FFMPEG Version: SVN-r10461

FFMPEG command that i used : ffmpeg -i sample.mp3 -f flv -vn -y sample.flv

flv output information bitrate (birate 64kb/s, 8000 Hz, stereo, 64kb/s

i also used other parameters for seting audio bitrate, sampling rates but no
effect in voice quality. can any one help me.

Thanks.

Complete output messages please.

And note that sound sampled at 8000Hz *will* be rather seriously
distorted independently of whatever codec is used, esp. if not filtered
before sampling.

See anything strange just above? Use -ab 64k.

I would say the input file is corrupt. But I see in the code some XXX
(fixme) marks for the 8000Hz case, so maybe you have hit a bug.

Anyway you didnt address my point about the distorsion inherent in
sampling at 8kHz in the first place. That's why you should never
top-post. Instead, you read my reply, annotating each of my paragraphs
as you go.

If you're asking about problems with an ffmpeg tool, *always* post the
