You need to use a git client to clone the repo, via cli it's just

git clone https://git.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.git


That will pull the full source code down.

the open your eyes!

the "snashot" link on the right of every commit generates a tar.gz with
the whole source for download like every git website of that kind does
for years

i doubt you can do anything with the source....
