FFplay toggle subtitles on / off?

Michael Koch
Does FFplay have a keyboard shortcut to toggle the subtitles on / off
while playing?
In the documentation I found only "t" for cycling the subtitle channel.
I'm asking because I have a MP4 file with subtitles, created with FFmpeg.
The subtitles are visible in VLC player, but not in FFplay.

Below is the console output.

C:\Users\mKoch\Desktop>c:\ffmpeg\ffmpeg -i test.mp4 -i subtitle.srt -c:v

ffplay: add ass support
https://github.com/cus/ffmpeg/tree/ffplayass

or use other player, for example mplayer
j and J -> Toggle subtitle visibility.

Good luck.

I personally recommend mpv, which feels like a much more modern variant
of mplayer. (No idea whether it's more difficult to build or has more
dependencies, as I use prebuilt binaries. I assume: no, not more
difficult).

Sometimes, ffplay seems like a proof of concept, or like a "good
enough" player for most cases, but not exactly feature-rich in some
terms.

Cheers,
Moritz
