I am extracting duration using ffmpeg. (simple ffmpeg Filename.asf
out.avi, and reading output)
The duration value is different when I paly it in windows media player
than what I receive on ffmpeg.
Can some one provide some clue ? (Side note: It also showed different
value than wmp in vlc (same as ffmpeg).

Not answering your question, but why not just read the file? The
duration is announced prior to the comment (I don't know if it's
technically an error) "Must supply at least one output file".
