DTS Output

Richard G. Anter III
Hi all,

I searched and searched, but could not seem to find an answer to this, so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject, but I have a Synology NAS, I just installed ffmpeg, and now my MKV files with DTS encoded audio can be played directly from DS Video on my Apple TV 4. My question is: am I hearing DTS audio? Is ffmpeg transcoding from DTS to AC3? Or is it just passing the DTS to my receiver to decode?

Best regards,

Richard

Can't answer without seeing your ffmpeg command and the resulting
complete console output.
