16 bit PNG?

Michael Koch
Is it possible to extract a single frame from a 10 bit video and save it
lossless as a 16 bit PNG file? Unfortunately the documentation for the
PNG video encoder is very short.
Or is any other image format with 10 or more bits supported?

Michael

FFmpeg's png encoder supports 16 bit per component.

$ ffmpeg -h encoder=png

Many.

In general, if you want support on this mailing list, it makes a
lot of sense to post a command line you tested together with
the complete, uncut console output.
Your questions are an extremely good example to confirm this.
